Day 1: Thursday August 13th

 

Schedule: 2:30pm to 4:30pm CST

Intended Audience: Mental health providers, school counselors and psychologists, community leaders, motivated educators, and appropriate personnel

Title: Resilience Building Workshop Training

Description: This training is geared toward mental health providers, community leaders, motivated educators, and appropriate personnel who can deliver small group and classroom wide workshops to students. This is a 2-hour training in the delivery of a 6 module resilience building workshop that provides evidence based coping skills to students faces with high level of stressors. After this training, trainees will receive on going consultation calls. After receiving 3 consultation calls, trainees will receive certification from Child Mind in the delivery of Resilience Building Workshops.

Day 2: Friday August 14th

 

Schedule: 8am to 9:30am CST

Intended Audience: Parents [Morning Session]

Title: Understanding Childhood Traumatic Stress and Managing Stress During COVID-19

Descriptions: This workshop is geared toward parents. This training will provide education in understanding what is childhood traumatic stress, including risk factors, symptoms, and ways in which parents can aide in supporting resilience. Additionally, this workshop will address the unique stressors due to COVID-19 and provide strategies in managing stress during this time.

Intended Audience: Educators and community leaders 

Title: Understanding Childhood Trauma Stress and Providing Support During COVID-19

Description: This workshop is geared toward educators and community leaders. This training will provide education in understanding what is childhood traumatic stress, including risk factors, symptoms, and ways in which educators can support students in schools. Additionally, this workshop will address the unique stressors due to COVID-19 and provide strategies in managing both student stress and educator stress during this time.

Intended Audience: Mental health providers and community leaders who participated in Trauma Treatment Group in Schools training and Resilience Building Workshop Training.

Title: Discussion in recruiting and engagement in Trauma Treatment Groups in Schools and Resilience Building Workshops.  

Descriptions: This is a discussion-based workshop for mental health providers and community leaders that engaged in Day 1 trainings. Discussion will be geared toward strategies in recruiting and engaging students for Trauma Treatment and Resilience Building Workshops.  Discussion will include delivery of programming via virtual platform due to COVID -19.
