Help support the Alpine Fighting Buck Band.
The Alpine Buck Band Boosters is having a fundraiser November 1, 2014 called the Monster 5k. This fundraiser is just the beginning of our efforts to meet a goal, a very large goal to get the band kids to NYC of March 2015. The band kids have been invited to play on the stage of Carnegie Hall. Yes, that Carnegie Hall. This is an amazing opportunity for these kids, 85% of them have not even been on an airplane. Opportunities like this are rare and can help benefit their future.
The 5k is a run/walk and only costs $25 to enter. You will get a t-shirt and lots of goodies. Also, since it is the day after Halloween, you can dress up! There will be a DJ, things for little kids to do (band kids can watch your little ones), and much more! Below is the website to register for the race and another website for just donations.

Sul Ross University
will sponsor an Author/Storyteller assembly in the gym at the Alpine Elementary School on Thursday, October 30, 2014.
Author and storyteller Antonio Sacre will share his award-winning stories in English and Spanish for a great interactive presentation where your children will have fun and learn the importance of home culture, family folklore and use of the heritage language!
AES will be using the ICU message system
to notify parents when a student has a missing assignment.
If your child has a missing assignment, you will receive a text message or email from ICU.
THIS IS NOT A PUNISHMENT.
ICU is an opportunity for students to complete, or redo an assignment.
When the assignment is completed, an email will be sent to Parents.
