I moved to Alpine in 1979 and consider Texas my home although my roots are in New England.  I love Alpine and would not live anywhere else in Texas! However, I miss the ocean and must occasionally get away to any location with water!! 

I made the decision to be a teacher while in the 9th grade and have enjoyed the adventure ever since.  I did my student teaching in London, England, landed my first teaching position in Gallup, N.M., met my husband that year and migrated to Texas where I've tried to become Texan but most still consider me a Yankee!!
